Immunize LA Kids (1999-2007)
Immunize LA Families (2007-2012)

The Immunize LA Kids Coalition and interventions were funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during the life of the Reach 2010 Initiative - Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (1999-2007).

Reach 2010 has been succeeded by REACH US - Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health Across the US (2007-2012). http://www.cdc.gov/reach

Under REACH US, the immunization priority has shifted from children to adults, reflecting improving rates for children nationwide, low immunization coverage for all adults, and high disparities in rates for adults in disadvantaged racial and ethnic populations.

CDC/ REACH US has selected LA BioMed/SLAHP to conduct an adult immunization project in Service Planning Area 6 (SPA 6) in South Los Angeles.

Immunize LA Families will succeed Immunize LA Kids as our community coalition. While emphasizing adult immunizations, this will be an across-the-lifespan coalition, working to improve immunization rates and decrease racial and ethnic disparities for adult, adolescent and childhood immunizations.
