Networking and Collaborating

Joining a Successful Partnership
Be a part of a Coalition that has improved immunization rates by collaborating to: educate tens of thousands of community members; train stakeholders, healthcare providers, and partners; convene four health disparities conferences; and promote various system and policy changes that improve immunization systems. With 82% of children participating in our WIC program in our service area up to date with recommended immunizations by the time they turn two years old, our coverage levels exceed the national Healthy People 2010 goal!

Which Workgroup is Right for You?

Join one of our Workgroups to share your ideas and perspective. We convene three workgroups: African American Taskforce, Communication Workgroups, and Membership Workgroup. Each group develops and implements creative projects designed to improve immunization systems and coverage levels.

  • African American Taskforce – raises awareness about childhood immunizations in the African American community, develops culturally specific outreach and educational materials, and advocates for issues that impact the well-being of African American communities. Taskforce meetings feature an educational presentation on topics that promote immunizations, healthy behaviors, and access to health services.

  • Communication Workgroup – develops outreach and educational materials and promotes the Coalition’s visibility, lessons-learned, and accomplishments.

  • Membership Workgroup – develops activities for recruiting and retaining Coalition and Workgroup members.

Please check back for information on upcoming meetings or contact us to join a group today!
